Nearly at the end of January !
Our morning co-operatives, where the children work hard to produce things for our community, are doing so well. We are incredibly grateful to the parents, teachers and coaches who are running these early morning sessions. Tomomi Yoshida manages our Mosaic Club, and you will have already seen work completed by the children on the walls of the playground. They have made signs displaying our special 'Sail to Success' words with plastic caps that would otherwise end up in landfill. The photograph above shows the next project they are working on which is a tiled mosaic sign for our Foundation Stage Building. It is going to look fantastic.
Thank you to the Parents who attended our Coffee Morning on Monday 27th January. It was great to have the opportunity to discuss ideas and listen to feedback and comments on a range of topics. Things that were discussed included:
- The new organisation for school clubs and the possibility of having staggered payments at the beginning of the year.
- The new school meals contract and the changes that we can expect.
- How to get more parents to attend these events.
We run one of these a term, so the date for the Summer event will be scheduled and sent out to you soon
Grenfell Memorial Commission
The independent Grenfell Tower Memorial Commission are inviting North Kensington residents to two drop-in events in February.
The events will be an opportunity to find out about the Memorial Commission, the work to finalise its membership, and its plans for the future. Visitors will be able meet the commission’s community representatives, ask questions and learn more about how to be involved in what happens next.
All of the events are designed to be drop-in events, so that those coming do not have to attend the entire event. There will be refreshments, a creche facility where possible (see posters for further information) and printed information for visitors to take away.
These events are specifically for North Kensington residents.
Please click on the links below to access documents with further information. If you would like to discuss any of this, either with members of our community or school staff, then please do not hesitate to get in touch, and we will arrange this for you.
