What an amazing first week back we have had with so many things already to celebrate...

Yesterday, Year 4 performed their fabulous Diwali Assembly. I have to say that they were so impressive; wonderful singing, speaking and acting. It was also so lovely to be able to welcome so many Parents/Carers to the two performances. These were the first assemblies with live audiences that we have had for over a year. What a wonderful new beginning. Thank you for making it so special.

Exciting news ........................................

Before half term, Year 5 entered the London Print Prize. We are delighted to announce that Mohammad, is a winner in this year's Young London Print Prize. He has come in the top 3 out of 988 young artists across the whole of London

Mohammad was selected last Friday by a team of Young Curators (year 12 art students), supported by London Print Prize’s professional arts educators, and his submission, entitled Land of Peace, will now be framed and exhibited at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair between 11-14 November.
The Awards Ceremony for the Young London Print Prize is on Thursday 11th November when Mohammad will find out if he has won the competition.

In addition to this, Sarai- Rose and Taonga, who created their artwok at Maxilla studios with ACAVA have also been given a special mention and have been invited to the awards ceremony as well.

Needless to say we are incredibly proud of our budding, young print artists.

Well done Mohammad, Sarai-Rose and Taonga, you have done OGPS proud!

Finally, our Little Book Hut is up and running again. Please encourage your children to visit and choose something exciting to read.
