You should currently have a list of websites, including the LGFL which the teachers have adapted for each year group, that your children can use to access learning whilst at home.  This is an excellent list of resources that will enable you to access different and relevant learning.

In addition to this, now that we have  more certainty about the fact that school will be closed for the vast majority of pupils for a significant period, we have made plans to support you and your child with their learning from home.

Please see below weekly plans with resource suggestions which should be accessed and completed by each year group. You can see that there are also plans for the Easter Holidays, so you will be able to keep some sort of structure, should you wish, during a time when we will all be spending a lot of time indoors.

We hope that your child enjoys the activities and that they provide a variety of learning projects and tasks which are both challenging and fun.

We have been working hard behind the scenes, looking at several different ways of continuing to provide your child with the best possible education, during the school closure. In our opinion, this is the best way to do that. Seesaw can be used on a computer, tablet, or smart phone, so hopefully all households will have access to one of these. Children can only see their own ‘classroom’ and they have learning set by their teachers. They are able to submit this learning to the teacher for feedback. Anything that goes onto the page, is approved by the teacher, before any other children can see it.

If you have not already written to info@oxfordgardens.rbkc.sch.uk giving permission for your child to be sent their log in, please do so.  After we have received this, we will send you their log in, with detailed instructions as to how to access the site.

We are all learning how to teach and learn in this situation that we find ourselves in. So please access the work at your own pace. Many of you will only have one device in the household and more than one child. We recognise that it will not always be possible to complete every activity that is set. Please don't worry about this. Please remember that whenever we go back to school, we will help your child to start learning again, at their own pace and from whichever starting point they are at.  The most important thing is that you and your family remain safe and well and that you also look after your mental health. Home learning can become quite stressful! So take it at a pace that is appropriate for you and your family.  As we all get used to Seesaw, we will continue to monitor how much children are accessing it, and adjust the amount that we are uploading accordingly.  I will keep you updated on this as we progress.

Please note that we will continue to send out the learning grids that we have been sending. However, these are now intended more for families who do not have access to a device for their children to work on. So these grids are instead of Seesaw, not as well as - unless you would like additional learning.
