Yesterday, our Chair of Governors Chris Blewett attended our meeting. Please read the message below:

I was delighted to attend the Parents’ Forum on Tuesday 10th October where I had the opportunity to meet some of the parents and carers and talk a little bit about what being a school governor is all about.

We talked about how Governors are responsible for setting a clear vision, ethos and strategy for the school and, together with the Headteacher, senior leadership team and all the staff, ensuring that all our children achieve to their full potential.  We are also responsible for overseeing that the school budget is well spent in the interests of the children’s education.

If you click onto the following link it will take you to a brief document called ‘What is a school governor?’ which will give you more information about how governors work.

We currently have a vacancy for a parent governor and will be holding elections shortly so if you are interested to learn more please ask at Reception and we will arrange for you to have a chat with one of the governors.
