Centaur Class have had a wonderful start to the Spring Term.

We came to school on the first day back to find ourselves as members of the Roman Army! We spent the day learning a Latin marching chant, making a shield, complete with an embossed, metal disc and even made eagle standards to represent our legions. In the afternoon, we marched around the school, practising our song and getting into shield formations such as the tortoise!

This week, we made documentaries about the fall of the Roman Empire using the Green screen. You can see our efforts on Seesaw.

In addition to this, we have been thoroughly enjoying our Literacy lessons, where our class text ‘Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief’ has been inspiring lots of creative writing. Finally, in Maths, we have been working hard on our decimals, fractions and percentages.

We hope you’ve all had a great start to the new year.
