Year 2 are really enjoying the Spring term. We have been enjoying our topic ‘From A to B’. We have explored how forces make various modes of transport move and we have even made our own cars and investigated how friction with different materials affects the distance they travel. We can’t wait for our IPC trip to The London Eye this week!
We are continuing to read “Flat Stanley” by Jeff Brown. We have been exploring the story through diary entries. We have been exploring what it was like to be Stanley on his many adventures. Through learning about diary entries we have been able to really consider a characters emotions. We are really enjoying this topic.
In Maths, we have learnt how to tell the time to five minute intervals and we also worked out how to calculate durations of time. We have now moved on to working with fractions. We have been exploring the structure of a fraction through studying the numerator and denominator. are currently finding fractions of shapes.
