Goblin Class Year 2 have really enjoyed the start of Autumn 2. We love our IPC topic Buildings. We have learnt all about buildings around the world and even designed and decorated a bed room for the Queen. We can’t wait for our trip to Westminster Abbey. We also took part in a drama workshop last week in which we had to look after the pearl of the sea. It was so much fun!
In maths, we have been studying statistics. We looked at tally charts, pictograms and block diagrams. This week we have started exploring different methods we can use to complete multiplication calculations such as arrays and repeated addition, before we move on to division.
In literacy, we have started exploring the text Where the wild things are. We have been using our senses to describe the setting of the story. We will then use these skills to create our own story settings.
We are looking forward to all of the amazing experiences the end of this half term has in store. We are particularly excited about going to see a pantomime and putting on our own Christmas show!
